The Reverend Dr.
Rodney Taylor
Rod Taylor is pastor of Scott Depot Christ Fellowship. He
has served Christ Fellowship since 1972, holding positions of assistant,
associate, administrator and now senior pastor. He founded, organized
and has been administrator of the Teays Valley Child Development Center
and Teays Valley Christian School.
The Scott Depot Christ Fellowship has recently completed the first
phase of a large educational facility expansion and has embarked upon a
new adventure in ministry which the church calls God's "Wheel of Fire."
The "Wheel of Fire" is a model and a vision for the church to glorify
God by revealing God’s love and fulfilling God’s purposes. The model
sets forth the source, center and power of all true ministry as the
knowing of God in spiritual experience.
Rod completed his Ed.D. from West Virginia University in 1987. He
serves the church with his wife, Marlene, his son Timothy, a dedicated
staff and a committed company of lay leaders.
Dr. Taylor has been an active participant in the Teays Valley
Ministerial Association for many years and has served as its secretary,
vice-president and president.
